3007-Special Inspections Accreditation for New York City
This is a two-day IAS Seminar that has been delivered in NYC since 2011 that now includes revisions from:
- 2022 NYC Building Code – Chapter 17
- 2025 IAS AC291 – Accreditation Criteria for Special Inspections
- ISO/IEC 17020:2026
Participants learn to create Management System documents that comply with requirements of NYC and the international best practices represented in IAS AC291 and ISO/IEC 17020.
The seminar is presented by a well-known New York engineer and instructor who helped write many of these specifications, and the course provides fourteen (14) NYS PE & RA Continuing Education PDH credits. PDH credit will include one PDH for Ethics to fulfill the NYS requirement for ethics training every triennium.
The training session creates a collaborative, classroom setting limited to 30 participants. Each module will have a written, multiple choice, graded quiz to comply with NYS requirements for an evaluation of the success of the training. Participants that require PDH credit must achieve passing marks. Attendees who don’t require PDH can opt for an Attendance certificate.
The seminar is created for the Engineers, Architects and Quality managers responsible for providing Special Inspections in accord with the requirements New York City. Individual special inspectors and administrative staff may also benefit.
