Dr. Chandrajith, A. V.
Dr. Chandrajith is a seasoned professional with over twenty-six years of expertise in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC), profit and loss management, entrepreneurship, business operations, and research and development (R&D). Beginning his career as a chemist, he has since established new ventures, managed global businesses, and structured seven new entities, gaining extensive knowledge across technical, quality and inspection domains. He is a recognized International Organization of Standardization (ISO) standards auditor, Food safety speaker, Treatment specialist, Legionella risk assessor, and Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) technical expert in scientific fields.
As the Partner & CEO at Wimpey Laboratories, a division of Cotecna Group, Dr. Chandrajith oversees teams across multiple global offices and leads the strategic growth of the TIC business. In his additional role as Senior Director of Laboratory Management Services Middle East and Asia (ME&A) at Cotecna, he is responsible for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, government contracts, and the establishment of new entities. His duties span commercial and strategic business planning and overseeing technical and quality operations across sectors such as petrochemicals, chemicals, water, food, paints, and construction materials. He is a member of Water Management Society, UK.
With an in-depth understanding of regulatory standards and accreditation requirements in the Middle East, Dr. Chandrajith has built a robust network of clients and relationships with regulatory entities in the region. He has co-authored three research papers in international journals and holds a PhD in Chemistry, an MSc in Analytical Chemistry, and an MBA in Marketing. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, driving, and sports.
