June 9 is the World Accreditation Day (WAD), a global initiative jointly established by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation. This year's theme is Accreditation: Delivering confidence in construction and the built environment.
IAS will be participating in the 4th APLAC/PAC Joint Annual Meetings incorporating the 23rd APLAC General Assembly will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand from 16 to 24 June 2017. Mohan Sabaratnam, IAS Director of Quality and Accreditation, is attending the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission Workshop, August 31, in Baltimore, Maryland. The meeting is covering topics including the state requirements for cannabis testing, metric overview for independent testing labs, MMCC ITL policy review, proficiency testing, internal audit review, and failed test guidance. IAS provides accreditation for testing laboratories that conduct tests on cannabis and cannabis-derived products.
