Call for Committee Members
Make a Difference, Gain International Expertise
The International Accreditation Service (IAS) is looking for talented building code professionals interested in an opportunity to guide the direction of an internationally recognized accreditation body while gaining a global perspective on quality control and quality systems.
Positions are available on the IAS Accreditation Committee as well as a new Technical Advisory Council (TAC) for Product Certification agencies.
The IAS Accreditation Committee is IAS’s technical decision-making body that approves Accreditation Criteria pertaining to all IAS accreditation programs. The membership is made up of International Code Council Governmental Member building professionals with experience in the approval of laboratories, inspection agencies, product certification agencies and special inspection agencies. The application deadline for the Accreditation Committee is June 30, 2008.
The new TAC for Product Certification will help guide IAS on technical issues related to accreditation policies and protocol, conformity assessment, test procedures, calibration, and other accreditation-related activities related to IAS’s new Product Certification Agency program. The application deadline for the TAC for Product Certification is March 31, 2008.
