IAS Hires New Technical Staff
The International Accreditation Service (IAS) is pleased to announce the addition of several new expert staff members.

| DeMaine |
Bruce DeMaine joined IAS as Program Manager for Product Certification Agencies, IAS's new accreditation program developed to accredit certification programs under ISO/IEC Guide 65, General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification Systems. Bruce has been involved with IAS Technical Advisory Councils (TACs) and other national committees in his previous position as the Director of Quality for NSF International, a nationally recognized certification agency. As a former certification agency client with 20 years' experience in quality, operations and management, along with an M.B.A. and B.S. in chemistry, Bruce is positioned to ensure the IAS ISO/IEC Guide 65 accreditation program not only exceeds our customers' expectations, but also brings fresh ideas to this traditional arena.

| Farmer |
IAS is also pleased to welcome Gaddis Farmer, who had been consulting with
IAS on the Building Department Accreditation (BDA) program. Gaddis is now
a Senior Accreditation Officer for the IAS BDA program. Farmer retired from
the City of Simi Valley, California, where he served with distinction as
the building official. In years past, he served on the International Conference
of Building Officials (ICBO) Board of Directors and as Chairman of the ICBO
Education Committee. Farmer was also on the first IAS Board of Directors
until his retirement from the City of Simi Valley in 2003. Kellee Lostaunau,
IAS BDA Project Coordinator, will work with Farmer to nurture and grow the
BDA program.

Finally, Jagdeesh Manian, from the Industrial Commercial Business Corporation, joined IAS as the IAS Interim Quality Manager. Jag has a B.S. in Production Engineering from Marathwada University, India, as well as an M.B.A. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Manufacturing Management. He was formerly Head of the Certification Business Division for BVQi (India) Pvt. Ltd. Jag will also provide technical assistance in delivery of IAS training programs and managing our pool of technical subject matter experts.
