White Mountain Labs, a state-of-the-art laboratory that serves the semiconductor industry, including companies like Hewlett-Packard and National Instruments, has received IAS testing laboratory accreditation.

"This is a rare opportunity to help benchmark our industry with respect to the ISO 17025 accreditation, enhance our credibility with clients and demonstrate our leadership in the industry," states White Mountain Labs President Brenda McCaffrey. "This is particularly noticeable with our semiconductor clients. Many of these companies are required to meet ISO/TS 16949 standards, which recommends that their suppliers must be ISO 17025 accredited. To meet these requirements, these companies would have to set up elaborate mechanisms to audit labs like ours. Our accreditation eliminates that need and guarantees product quality. This process has really opened doors to new business and significant opportunity for future growth."

White Mountain Labs performs electrostatic discharge testing using human body modeling. The human body discharges electrical forces that may affect or even damage the chips in electronic equipment such as computers. This is a cutting-edge laboratory evaluating the survivability of electronic semi-conductors and microchips. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, White Mountain Labs supports over 100 customers worldwide, including 17 active customers in the UK, Europe and Israel. As engineers continuously attempt to bring new and innovative products to market, White Mountain Labs plays a key role by providing clear and accurate test data to ensure that products meet industry standards for ESD protection.
