Search for Accreditations

The links below will take you to the current certificates of accreditation for testing laboratories (TL listings), calibration laboratories (CL listings), inspection agencies (AA listings), IBC® special inspection agencies (SIA listings), fabricator inspection programs (FA listings), and building departments/code enforcement agencies (BDA listings). Each certificate includes the scope of accreditation. Please note that all standards and methods referenced in the scopes are the most current versions, unless otherwise specified. Please note, also that each certificate of accreditation for testing and calibration laboratories and inspection agencies has a "commencement date" only. Laboratories and agencies may apply for accreditation for one, two, or three years; however, all laboratories and agencies are assessed at least once every two years and must demonstrate continuing compliance with IAS accreditation requirements. IAS believes that it may be misleading to put expiration dates on the certificates, as changes may occur during the accreditation period. Only accreditation certificates appearing on the IAS website are considered current and valid. Notes on Inspection Agency Certificates of Accreditation:

The scope of accreditation for each IAS-accredited inspection agency identifies: (1) the field of inspection, (2) type and range of inspections, and (3) inspection methods or procedures. The field of inspection identifies the product, service or process that the agency has been accredited to inspect. The type of inspection identifies where the inspection is carried out, such as at a manufacturer’s facility (in-plant) or in the field where a product, service or process is in use. The range of inspection, when specified, identifies any limitations on the type of inspection. The inspection method or procedure identifies the applicable inspection standard, code or other procedure that the agency employs to conduct the inspection.

Some accreditation certificates may contain special conditions or descriptions regarding the types of inspections conducted. For example, "pre-shipment" and "post-shipment" are terms used in cargo inspections, where the cause of a condition found in cargo is due to a manufacturing defect (pre-shipment) or the condition was caused by loading or unloading (post-shipment).

The scope of accreditation for each IAS-accredited IBC® special inspection agency identifies: (1) the field and type of inspection, and (2) inspection procedures or reference documents. The field and type of inspection identifies the product, service or process that the agency has been accredited to inspect. The inspection procedures or reference documents identify the applicable inspection standard, code or other procedure that the agency employs to conduct the inspection. Any limitations on the type of inspection are included in this section.
